Your web hosting provider is a critical part of your web site’s life. Having a great web hosting provider can instantly boost your productivity. LIkewise, having a bad one can instanteneously create a series of headaches – which could have been avoided in the first place, if you paid more attention to choosing the perfect web hosting provider.

I was thinking about my experiences with various web hosts. I had tried more than 5 different web hosts before I settled with my current web host. It’s been 4 years now that I’ve been with them. I wouldn’t say that they are the best in their industry but they are reliable.

After experiencing the services of all those web hosts, I can pretty much now check out a web host and straight away know if it will meet my needs. But for many of you, who are new to the idea of web hosting, looking for the ideal web host can be a bit daunting.

So, what I’ve decided to do next is start a series of tutorials about web hosting. More specifically, I’m going to start a tutorial series on how to sign up to a web host, how to set up your domain and also how use some of the features offered by web host, like setting up emails, password protected folders…

I’ll be using ThirdSphere hosting as my sample web host in the movie tutorials. But you should get a good grasp on where and how to start and what to looking for. Anyway, I’m excited to get this on the move. I’ve begun to take screen captures already. The first tutorial should be up sometime next week. In the mean time, if you have any questions or ideas, don’t hesitate to leave a comment.
