Thirdsphere sound like a reliable and flexible hosting option. I’m currently with windows hosting and for now I think will remain reluctant to change. I’m waiting for the right kind of offer I suppose.

Ecommerce is the future of marketing , unfortunately we are heading to a future where people will do everything from home and get out of their homes rarely , but anyway , shared hosting and internet shops are a couple of things people can easily do to earn cash online

I preffer packages like this over the ye ol' traditional "let's get a ecommerce website from scratch" way/approach. Web hosting companies have really got the hang of this right about now. It seems they understand the client better and his needs accordingly.

I understand that hostgator is very good. http://www.hostgator.com/
The advantage with them is that you only need one domain name
and then you can add sub-domain web pages with product relevant titles at no additional cost. However, check this out for yourself.
Also aweber has a good reputation and I am still undecided as yet.

I've been with Third Sphere for a little over two years. I have noticed that my sites are experiencing down time where they haven't in the past. I have been frustrated with the lack of responsiveness from customer support. Applications are not working in Automation Station. Names are not getting added to my mail lists when I make sales. Things have been going downhill quite a bit recently.

I like what Third Sphere offers if it would work, especially with Automation Station. I've been looking around for awhile but haven't found another host that is comparable in it's offerings. I have an affiliate program on my site and none of the other hosts I've looked at have the option for me to have an affiliate program for my products.

I am looking for recommendations for reliable hosting for a small business, selling products and services. Would like to be able to offer my products through an affiliate program on my site. I need an expert opinion as I have been learning as I go, and am not an expert myself.

Thanks.

I'll add that they have actually been down 6-7 times in the last 4 weeks. They gave me some techinical answer but the bottom line is they are having serious problems. I am moving all my sites and the sites i run for others this weekend. Plus, there are other sites who offer a ton more disc space, dont charge you $10 for each additonal domain name to add and cheaper in monthly service and more respsonsive customer service.

I agree a few years ago they were much better but times have changed and they havent kept up. No one should go with 3rd sphere webhosting and anyone having them should switch ASAP!!.

Hi Pam,

I haven't used ThirdSphere hosting for quite awhile. At the time I was using it though, they were one of the best in the internet marketing market. I can't update my assessment because I no longer have an account with them.

But I will keep your comments here so others can read it.

Lately I've had problems with Third Sphere... they were down twice. I've attempted to get "help" from them, and got nothing but an address to go to after waiting 3 days... it was not helpful.... I emailed them again and got a short-tempered sounding question back.... not an actual ANSWER... and that after another couple days.... emailed them AGAIN, telling them I wanted a PERSON to actually READ the email and write me a response based on my ACTUAL question.... FINALLY got a response. And they're cutting back on the # of addresses you can have on your site. And , as a newbie, I find their "help" pages really unhelpful. Inaccessible. You have to know the lingo, but where can you learn the lingo? They need to rewrite the whole interface choices section by answering the question: "WHat do you want to do?" and use the frame of reference of the customer trying to do something rather than their own in-group techie language. And, they need to offer LIVE help. Even my webmaster, who knows alot, was extremely frustrated with them as she tried to get my website up and running with them. It took FOREVER because she ran into exactly the same "help" problem, which was that it took DAYS to get a reply, and then it was only, "go to this address" which didn't answer her question either. Are you going to update your assessment of them? AFter all, it's one thing to see what they OFFER and quite another to find out what it takes to access it or get any help.

I have had a very negative experince with Third Sphere. As a complete newbie to webhosting, getting my first product off the ground, I was so excited to find a one-stop webhost. However, my experience in trying to get 'newbie' instructions to add-on my sales site - it did say that I could do this - (with a completely different name to my main domain) has been nothing short of frustrating.

My first request for support prompted a helpful reply 24 hours later, although a bit above the 'newbies' head. The reply, to my 2nd request, again over 24 hours later, was instructions as to how to point the domain to Third Sphere, something I'd done some days before. It was obvious that the sender hadn't read my reply to the first support email to know what I needed help with.

Then wait 2 days. Still no reply. So I'm sorry to say that I lost my rag and asked how to cancel my subscription as I found their support unresponsive and unhelpful.

Still no response, so the next day when I'd had time to cool down, I emailed an apology for my outburst, explaining the frustrations their system was causing me and that they really weren't instilling confidence in me as a customer.

Today, still no response, so I have no alternative but to move on if I want to get my internet venture off the ground.

Sure Third Sphere is a great package - but I definitely would not recommend it for newbies.

Sure Third Sphere is a great package – but I definitely would not recommend it for newbies.
