Not so long ago I was blogging about the incredible Zoho suite of online tools. Now, Zoho got even better with their latest addition – Zoho Docs. Like Google Docs, you can do a lot with documents, spreadsheets and presentations in Zoho.
Zoho Docs supports folders which means you can organize your content by theme, client, name, niche or what not. Folders are taggable for easier access later down the track.
To make usage more fun you can also share, download and sort them by name, creation date and modified date. One of the best options they provide is the ability to upload zip files. Google Docs lacks this which is actually quite annoying.
You can export your Zoho Docs in multiple version for cross platform usage. All common file types are accepted. I’m impressed with this launch, since it took Google a while to allow PDFs.
You can also use the Zoho chat right from within your Zoho Doc application. I tried the zip upload right away and it took 5 seconds and my file was on Zoho. Now I no longer have to play around with Google, trying to unzip my files before I upload. In fact, I can upload to Zoho first and then either store them as zip to preserve space, or else unzip on Zoho.
With a 1GB of free space, you will have ample storage all for the massive cost of drum roll please…..
….$0.
I’m really impressed with all of Zoho’s application. The guys have certainly put a lot of thoughts into the development. It’s clean, fast and functional.
I looks like I might move after all since the new invention has been launched.

Well Monika you convinced me to open a Zoho account. I avoid most Google facilities simply because Google knows too much about all of us already.
I had a look at the zoho privacy policy and was very impressed.
For example “Neither do we process the contents of your Account for serving targeted advertisements.”
Very nice!
Can we have a zoho corner on weBriefcase?
Looks like lots of fun here!

Hi Alex,
Sorry this comment is late. For some reasons I have missed your input. I’m glad you love Zoho. They really are cool and I totally agree with you about the big G and how they spy on us. LOL.
Zoho corner, now that is an idea for sure. See what Bina has to say about this.
