Cpanel Tutorial - Introduction
cPanel is a web based web hosting control panel. The cPanel's graphical interface makes it easier for non-techies like us to use the features offered by our web hosts. Not all web hosts offer cPanel, however. So, you may want to check with your web host first.
One quick way to check to see if your web host offers cPanel is to go to http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel. Just replace the yourdomain.com with your own domain. I'm not sure if this works with all cPanel based web host but so far it's worked with all the ones that I've worked with.
When you go to this URL, you will be greeted by a pop up asking you for your username and password. Just use the username and password given to you by your web host and you will be logged in and taken to a page that looks something like this:

As cPanels come in various skins, it may look a bit different. So, don't assume that you don't have a cPanel just because it doesn't look the same. But more than likely it will look like the above.
In the coming cPanel tutorials, you will learn how to use your cPanel to add email accounts, upload files, change file permissions, check stats etc. So, stay tuned.
